Fashion as Armor is a self-directed editorial project exploring the relationship between fashion, identity, performance, and emotional protection. Through a series of contrasting personas, silhouettes, and emotional states, the project examines the ways clothing can communicate power, vulnerability, distance, confidence, softness, and control. Every image was independently conceptualized, styled, photographed, and edited by Lola LaChapelle.
